As a Lead Quality Inspector at Nemera, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Quality Control team to ensure the seamless production and distribution of high-quality products that adhere to established standards. You will proactively address quality issues during production and sample runs, effectively distribute or assign work as necessary, and evaluate compliance using relevant information and sound judgment. Your responsibilities will include direct involvement in quality assessments and guiding the Quality Control staff to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Quality Control Manager to coordinate objectives across the organization, working alongside other Lead Quality Inspectors to enhance product quality and operational efficiency while minimizing costs.
Lead and manage the activities of Quality Inspectors involved in the assessment of products.
Perform all essential duties of a Quality Inspector, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Plan and organize work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to fulfill production targets.
Analyze work orders, charts, and reports to determine resource needs effectively.
Review documentation for precision and ensure timely processing.
Conduct statistical analyses to evaluate current standards and develop quality improvement plans, including the assessment of inspection methods and sample plans.
Oversee nonconforming products during production to ensure compliance with quality expectations.
Ensure all in-process and start-up requirements are met, coordinating with the Quality Control Manager when discrepancies arise.
Prepare quality and safety reports as required.
Consult with management and staff to resolve work-related issues with the support of the Quality Control Manager and Quality Managers.
Monitor the performance of Quality Inspectors to ensure adherence to quality system standards.
Participate in investigations related to customer complaints.
Utilize problem-solving techniques to minimize both internal and external failures.
Provide necessary training for the QC department as needed.
Fulfill specific responsibilities as outlined within the company quality system.
Support and uphold all company policies, including applicable FDA regulations, ISO requirements, health and safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
