Qualifications
Key ResponsibilitiesTake charge of and enhance our Tamagui-powered cross-platform design system, extending foundational components, token architecture, themed variants, and ensuring platform-specific behaviors across iOS, Android, and web. Develop and uphold intricate, gesture-driven user experience flows that feel inherently native on both platforms, incorporating animations, haptics, swipe interactions, and transitions that meet the highest standards of luxury. Design and implement efficient component hierarchies with controlled re-rendering, utilizing Zustand, Redux selectors, and React Compiler's automatic memoization features. Collaborate with and extend our Orval-generated TanStack Query v5 API layer, understanding the code generation contract, managing caching strategies, and ensuring offline-first persistence through MMKV. Oversee payment processing end to end, integrating Stripe React Native SDK, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and the native payment sheet UX that is critical for conversion rates. Integrate and maintain native modules, bridging JavaScript and native layers, debugging across the JSI/Fabric interface, and ensuring library compatibility within the new architecture. Manage our EAS build pipeline across development, internal, and production profiles, including OTA update channel management. Ensure Android's polish matches the high standards set for iOS, focusing on predictive back gestures, ripple effects, elevation modeling, font rendering, and status bar management. Contribute to and uphold best practices regarding component architecture, dependency management, and cycle detection using our existing tools (madge, dependency-cruiser). Collaborate with the team to drive innovative solutions and improvements in our mobile applications.

You will take full ownership of the checkout process, managing everything from user gestures to payment confirmations.
