About the Lead Service Technician Role:
The Lead Service Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the overall safety, aesthetics, and operational efficiency of our community. This position involves daily inspections of the grounds, buildings, and other community amenities to identify and rectify any hazardous conditions or liability issues. The Lead Service Technician will oversee general maintenance repairs, unit preparations, preventive maintenance, and any construction or rehabilitation projects within the apartment community. This ensures that all work meets quality standards and is completed in a timely manner. Additionally, the Lead Service Technician is responsible for keeping a well-organized and adequately stocked maintenance shop while adhering to safety protocols. Under the guidance of the Community Manager, this role includes supervising, training, and scheduling maintenance staff activities. The Lead Service Technician will monitor the progress of maintenance tasks daily and provide immediate assistance and guidance as necessary. This position also requires responding to on-call or after-hours emergencies. Compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding Fair Housing and OSHA regulations is essential.
