You will raise the technical bar, providing mentorship to fellow engineers while collaborating with product, data, and clinical teams to develop solutions that adhere to compliance, quality, and performance standards.
This position is perfect for engineers who excel at tackling intricate challenges in healthcare, possess extensive experience in developing distributed systems, and aspire to influence architectural and engineering practices on a grand scale.
What You’ll Do:
- Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Establish and guide the architecture of large-scale, distributed application systems across the Cohere platform.
- Ensure that solutions are secure, high-performing, maintainable, and compliant with NCQA, CMS, and payer regulations.
- Promote engineering best practices in CI/CD, testing, release management, and observability.
- Hands-On Engineering
- Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code primarily using modern frameworks (e.g., Python, TypeScript/React, Java/Kotlin).
- Lead the development of essential features and APIs that significantly impact providers, payers, and patients.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Data teams to ensure seamless integration and operational readiness.
- Quality & Compliance Focus
- Integrate automated testing, monitoring, and release safeguards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Proactively address compliance and audit-readiness requirements in application design.
- Work closely with Quality, Security, and Compliance stakeholders to resolve CAP issues and uphold high delivery standards.
- Mentorship & Influence
- Guide and mentor engineers across the team on technical design, code quality, and holistic system thinking.
