Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Engineering Lead specializing in Python to join our R&D Engineering team at StarCompliance. This Associate Director-level position is crucial for providing technical leadership and ensuring the successful delivery of our innovative crypto compliance product.

The crypto compliance product is a key component of our rapidly evolving product portfolio, designed to navigate a complex regulatory and market landscape. Although we share a common technology stack, this role uniquely focuses on Python, guiding the development and implementation of robust solutions.

As the Software Engineering Lead, you will take full ownership of the product's technical health, delivery outcomes, and operational sustainability. Your responsibilities will encompass architecture, engineering practices, delivery processes, and team development.

Leading a talented engineering team of 3–5 Software Engineers, you will ensure that technical decisions are aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements, while also fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development within the team.

Your ability to review designs, guide implementation strategies, and challenge existing approaches will be essential. Success in this role is measured by the quality of the team’s output and the overall performance of the system, rather than individual contributions.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Architecture, Security, and Platform Engineering, is vital to ensure that our crypto product remains secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with StarCompliance’s overarching SaaS strategy.
