What You Will Need (Basic Qualifications):Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Extensive experience in vulnerability research, reverse engineering, or CNO development. Expert-level proficiency in modern decompilers (Ghidra, IDA Pro, or Binary Ninja). Advanced knowledge of assembly languages (x86, ARM, MIPS, etc.) and operating system internals. Familiarity with common network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, or HTTP. Proficiency in at least one modern debugger such as GDB or WinDBG. Proven track record of identifying vulnerabilities in complex systems or developing advanced exploits. Experience in a technical leadership or project lead capacity. Security Clearance: Active U. S. Government clearance may be required.

We are searching for a Lead Vulnerability Researcher to lead our vulnerability research initiatives based in Dayton, Ohio. In this pivotal role, you will be more than just a technical expert; you will be a strategist and mentor, defining research methodologies to tackle our most challenging wireless and embedded system issues.

As a leader, you will connect high-level mission requirements with detailed technical execution. You will drive innovation within our Wireless Sector, ensuring our team stays at the forefront of the industry while serving as the primary technical liaison for mission-critical government programs.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the execution of extensive vulnerability research projects, guaranteeing high-quality outcomes and innovative strategies.
  • Design research strategies for intricate, undocumented, or highly resilient embedded and wireless systems.
  • Enhance the technical capabilities of the team by mentoring junior and staff researchers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
  • Engage directly with customers to translate mission requirements into technical specifications and present complex research findings.
  • Identify and integrate new tools, automation, or methodologies (IR&D) to enhance the team’s research efficiency and capabilities.
