Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Onboarding: Carry out pre-employment driver assessments and lead a structured five-day Driver Induction program that meets industry standards.
Ongoing Training: Provide regular refresher sessions and additional training aimed at improving driver skills and customer service.
Record Management: Keep accurate records of driver training and competence using Express Class.
Post-Incident Support: Reassess and retrain drivers involved in incidents to reinforce safe and compliant practices.
Performance Reviews: Collaborate with management to review driving data and identify where drivers may need extra support.
Behavioural Interventions: Offer targeted coaching for drivers requiring improvement in specific areas.
Vehicle Updates: Stay current on technical changes to vehicles and communicate relevant updates to drivers.
Continuous Improvement: Look for ways to enhance training delivery and driver learning, while pursuing your own professional development.

Requirements

Minimum of three years' HGV driving experience, including work with multiple HGV types.
Background in conducting thorough driver assessments.
Valid Class 2 HGV Licence and Digital Tachograph certification.
