AECOM is on the lookout for a talented Licensed Architect specializing in the design and execution of colocation and hyperscale cloud data center facilities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in leading intricate, mission-critical projects from inception through to commissioning. This pivotal role will contribute to the architecture of high-performance, secure, and scalable data center environments tailored for the ever-evolving needs of elite cloud and colocation clients.
This role provides the flexibility of a remote work arrangement, with the possibility of being based in any U. S. location where AECOM has an office.
While primarily a remote position, occasional travel may be necessary for client meetings, essential project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other business-critical activities. Travel will be infrequent and scheduled ahead of time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural design for large-scale hyperscale cloud data center and colocation projects, from initial concept through to construction administration and project closeout.
- Work collaboratively with internal engineering teams, construction personnel, and external stakeholders to create fully coordinated and integrated design solutions.
- Produce and assess drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client design guidelines.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project delivery and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Act as the architectural subject matter expert for hyperscale and colocation clients, ensuring operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability in facility design.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and designers, promoting technical excellence and innovative design practices.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and trends in data center design.
- Support business development efforts, proposal writing, and conceptual architectural designs for new initiatives.
