Qualifications
REQUIRED:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Tribology Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Tribology Engineering, Physics, or a related field is preferred. SKILLS:Proven experience in HDD business, R&D, or academic research/testing/characterization. Familiarity with operating testing equipment, tribometers, and electrical test systems. Proficient in MS Office and general computer skills. Effective project management and timeline management skills. High level of English proficiency (spoken, reading, written).

Join us as a Lifetime & Reliability Test and Characterization Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing the next generation of hard disk drive (HDD) technology, specifically Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR). In this dynamic position, you will engage in component-level lifetime, reliability, and tribological testing, alongside physical characterization efforts. Your responsibilities will include operating sophisticated electrical testing equipment, analyzing data, and leading a talented team of technicians and operators.
As part of our team at the Thailand head operations site, you will collaborate with specialist engineers to implement, develop, and manage component head and media testing, emphasizing the operation of HAMR Blade HDD-like testing within environmental chambers. Your hands-on experience with testing equipment and your collaborative spirit will be essential as you work under pressure to meet critical business deadlines.
We are seeking a proactive, driven individual with a strong R&D and statistical mindset, capable of juggling multiple projects and addressing the testing needs of various internal customers across departments and global sites.
