Your Role
From our warehouse, we supply various orders to over 70 Van der Valk hotels. From tea to ice cream and candy to soup, our product range is diverse and continuously expanding! Each day, we ensure that all logistical processes run smoothly, allowing our hotels to receive their orders on time. This includes managing incoming and outgoing goods, order picking, expediting, warehouse layout, and returns sorting. As a Logistics Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in these processes. You are proactive, enjoy contributing ideas, and can independently handle a significant workload to elevate our warehouse operations. You will also ensure a safe and clean working environment in the warehouse and maintain accurate and timely documentation of goods flows in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Will you ensure that together with the team, all orders for our hotels are fulfilled?
As the Logistics Team Leader, you will oversee a team of 15 staff members. You will direct their tasks, ensuring productivity and quality are maintained. Furthermore, you will focus on the continuous development of your team members. To identify their needs, you will regularly engage in discussions to support their growth. Naturally, you will be present on the floor to assist your colleagues during busy periods. You will also be the point of contact for any escalations. If a solution is not readily available, you will collaborate with the logistics supervisor to resolve issues.
Your Team
The distribution team currently comprises 30 colleagues. Together, they manage the complete logistical process of goods for our hotels. We achieve this by working closely together and always being there for one another. An open culture exists that encourages sharing, questioning, and even joking around, fostering a supportive environment.
The Organization
Working at Van der Valk means being part of the most hospitable hotels in the Netherlands. We aim to bring smiles to the faces of our guests! You will work at the distribution center of the Purchasing department, which strategically manages procurement for over 70 Van der Valk hotels domestically and internationally. We previously outsourced our storage and distribution but decided to take this in-house in 2022, leading to the construction of a new, modern distribution center near Eindhoven.
