EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Typically acquired through a high school diploma and at least two years of related experience, or an Associate's degree in a relevant field, or the completion of an accredited apprenticeship program. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must maintain all regulatory licenses as required by the state of employment. Successful completion of a background check and drug/alcohol screening is mandatory. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Familiarity with paint mixing techniques and airless spraying equipment, as well as upholstery techniques and related tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are intended to provide a general overview of the role and are not exhaustive.

  1. Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering positive interactions with clients and colleagues, while demonstrating the resilience to handle challenging situations effectively.
  2. Construct, repair, and maintain mechanical systems, including motors and pumps, ensuring optimal performance.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized workshop by managing tools, parts, and the electrical storage area.
  4. Assist with the assembly of interface or accessory equipment as required.
  5. Respond promptly to maintenance requests, providing courteous and expert service to clients.
  6. Repair and install structural woodwork and equipment, assist with surface preparation for painting, ensuring operational efficiency of all equipment as per established schedules and departmental standards.
  7. Perform upholstery tasks as needed.
  8. Install and maintain various flooring materials, including tile, marble, carpet, and carpet tiles.
  9. Operate milling equipment, lathes, and power tools; conduct welding tasks as necessary.
  10. Work in environments with varying temperatures and vibrations, adhering to safety protocols.
  11. Adapt to different noise levels, crowds, and smoke, depending on customer volume.
  12. Occasionally work at heights and in confined spaces, while taking appropriate safety precautions.
  13. Face potential hazards associated with the use of hand and power tools, testing equipment, and electrical systems.
  14. Occasionally work outdoors in all weather conditions, with proper attire provided.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
