Education & ExperienceApplicants should possess a degree and have a minimum of 8 years of experience in airline operations, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role within a similarly sized, hub-based airline. Core Competencies:Ability to assess appropriate actions during significant incidents, accidents, and operational events, ensuring immediate escalation through the correct channels, such as the Incident Management System. You will be responsible for creating and distributing operational evaluations and reports to the business, including Daily Operational Risk Briefings and Event Logs, and facilitating conference calls and group meetings as necessary. You will also establish and continuously review operational contingency plans to ensure readiness in the event of network disruptions. Quick response to unforeseen events will be essential, identifying potential risks to Network Operations Management related to processes, team members, stakeholders, or incidents.

About the job

As the Manager of Network Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the performance and efficiency of the Etihad network and Abu Dhabi Hub. Your leadership will guide the operational stakeholders within the Network Operations Centre, ensuring seamless operations across the airline. You will also serve as the activation point for the Airline’s Disruption Recovery and Emergency Response Programs, fostering a culture focused on safety and security through adherence to the company’s Safety Management System.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to manage the daily operations within the Network Operations Centre, making critical decisions and developing solutions to complex issues. You will support the Network Control Duty Manager in overseeing activities at the Abu Dhabi Hub, focusing on Ground, Catering, Cargo, ADA, ATC, and ADNOC operations.

In this role, you will address safety and security risks in alignment with the company’s Emergency Response Plan and Safety Management System. You will supervise various teams within the Network Operations Centre to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Etihad operation from multiple critical perspectives, ensuring that all policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manuals and GCAA regulations are strictly followed.

As the main escalation point for all stakeholders present in the Network Operations Centre, you will handle operational events with a keen focus on safety, guest welfare, and cost-effective solutions.
