Your Role and Impact

This is an exceptional opportunity to join Remote as a Managing Counsel, Product (Note: This is not a managerial position). We seek an adept and enthusiastic legal professional committed to our mission: to provide pragmatic and innovative legal solutions for Remote’s products and stakeholders while safeguarding the company from undue risk.

Our well-established legal team is composed of friendly, talented, and highly motivated lawyers from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique experiences to the table.

As Remote expands its product offerings, the complexity of legal challenges will increase across over 90 jurisdictions. You will serve as a legal partner to our Product, Engineering, Privacy, and Security teams, focusing on HRIS and AI/ML features, translating intricate regulations into clear, actionable requirements, and achieving the right balance between compliance and commercial viability.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

Leading compliance initiatives for AI and HRIS products in collaboration with Product, Engineering, Security, and Privacy teams;
Integrating a risk-based legal review process into product development workflows;
Managing product terms and conditions for HRIS and AI features.
