About the job

About Atomic Industries

At Atomic Industries, we are revolutionizing the manufacturing landscape. Our innovative approach spans across various sectors, including automotive, aerospace, medical devices, and packaging. Traditionally, the creation of molds and manufacturing tools has been plagued by slow processes and limited expertise, often taking weeks or even months. We are on a mission to change that.

Located in the heart of Detroit, we blend the rich industrial heritage of America’s manufacturing base with the rapid pace and precision of Silicon Valley. Our AI-driven platform addresses complex challenges in geometry, process planning, and fabrication, significantly reducing production timelines from months to mere days, and soon, to minutes. More than just software developers, we operate a fully functional factory, producing high-quality tooling every week, which allows for immediate feedback and swift improvements.

Supported by leading investors, we aim to restore agility, flexibility, and capacity to the American manufacturing sector. Our goal is to transform manufacturing into a process as adaptable and scalable as the digital realm, thereby revitalizing the infrastructure of the physical economy.

About the Role

We are excited to invite a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in launching a state-of-the-art, high-volume injection molding facility. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Plant Manager to design and operationalize molding cells, select and commission equipment, and engineer production lines to achieve optimal yield and uptime from the outset.

This position requires a hands-on approach and a focus on execution. You will be tasked with engineering complete molding cells, encompassing material handling, press automation, and part packaging, not merely optimizing individual processes. The ideal candidate will have experience launching automated molding lines in dynamic, high-mix environments and will be adept at managing throughput, quality, and cycle time comprehensively.

About Atomic Industries

Atomic Industries is at the forefront of manufacturing innovation, determined to reshape how products are made across various industries. Our commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology ensures that we remain a leader in the field.
