1st Shift: Thursday - Monday, 4:15 AM - 12:30 PM

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Material Handler 1 (Strapper) plays a crucial role in the production process by palletizing finished goods and ensuring that all pallets are securely wrapped for stability and organization. This position involves loading and unloading materials to designated machine units and managing the safe and efficient operation of various equipment, including but not limited to 227, Alphaliner, and Ferag. The role is pivotal in meeting quality, output, and production targets.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare finished products in accordance with USPS standards, ensuring proficiency in recognizing printed address labels. Direct the Logistics Tech in moving products to their final locations.
  • Check and confirm the correct materials for the production line, managing the loading and unloading of materials into machines. Conduct basic machine setups, including operating machine interfaces and controls, making minor adjustments, and troubleshooting as necessary. Respond to indicator lights and display screens to resolve issues efficiently. Clear jams and rectify errors on end-of-line machine components.
  • Adhere to and promote safety and security protocols to maintain a healthy work environment, including housekeeping standards.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary information, completing assigned tasks for compliance, and maintaining records that demonstrate that essential internal controls have been executed. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
