2nd Shift: Wednesday - Sunday, 12:15 PM - 8:30 PM

JOB SUMMARY

As a Material Handler 1 (Strapper), you will play a vital role in our production team by palletizing finished goods and ensuring that pallets are securely wrapped to maintain stability and tidiness. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and managing materials for your assigned machine units while operating equipment safely and efficiently (including various machines such as 227, Alphaliner, and Ferag). You will also be instrumental in achieving quality, output, and production targets.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare finished products in accordance with established USPS standards, demonstrating accuracy in recognizing printed address labels. Ensure proper palletization of finished goods and instruct the Logistics Technician to transport products to their designated locations.
  • Verify the correct materials for the production line, load and unload materials into machinery, and perform basic machine setup, including navigating machine interfaces and controls. Make necessary adjustments and troubleshoot issues as required. Respond to indicator lights and display screens, taking appropriate actions to resolve any issues. Clear jams and rectify errors at the end of the line machine components.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols to foster a healthy work environment, including maintaining housekeeping standards.
  • Support compliance with internal and external audits by providing necessary information, completing assigned tasks to ensure adherence, and preparing documentation that proves the completion of key internal control duties. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
