CAI is in search of Mechanical Commissioning Engineers with a minimum of two years of experience in Data Center Commissioning to aid in the development and execution of comprehensive mechanical commissioning projects.
Position Overview:
This role facilitates the development and execution of all mechanical components of designated commissioning projects, starting from initial engagement, conducting design reviews, creating checklists, providing safety support, developing scripts, coordinating with vendors, performing testing, and creating reports until the project handover to the client. The Mechanical Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for establishing the mechanical testing schedule, finalizing testing procedures, reviewing project submittals for alignment with design intent, basis of design, and owner’s project requirements, while ensuring project cadence for mechanical systems and related Building Automation Systems. This position involves planning and executing commissioning for the mechanical infrastructure of mission-critical facilities, requiring effective coordination of contractors and/or vendors to achieve timely mechanical systems testing.

Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to all aspects of safety during mechanical tests.
Oversee comprehensive commissioning and performance acceptance testing of mechanical infrastructure systems.
Develop mechanical test procedures, Method of Procedures (MOPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and checklists.
Ensure quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of mechanical test procedures.
Provide valuable input to the overall commissioning strategy.
Generate reports detailing mechanical testing outcomes and contribute to daily updates for the Commissioning Project Manager.
Actively participate in customer equipment Factory Witness Tests.
Assist with vendor coordination and management.
Conduct equipment inspections to ensure compliance with vendor submissions.
Deliver test documentation confirming that equipment is properly delivered, installed, and functioning as intended for the customer.
Support and execute design specification reviews, manufacturer submissions, one-line drawing sets, and project schedule documentation.
