Peak Energy is seeking a passionate Mechanical Design Intern to join our Energy Storage Systems (ESS) team. In this role, you will contribute to the mechanical design of our innovative utility-scale sodium-ion energy storage systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing to bring your ideas to life. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn and engage in hands-on projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design of essential components, focusing on areas such as module enclosures, adhesives, plastic parts design, high current conductors, and communication harnessing.
  • Collaborate closely with thermal and structural analysts as well as other design teams to ensure informed design decisions.
  • Engage in the iterative design process, testing, and refining mechanical systems to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Assist in the documentation and presentation of design concepts and solutions.
