Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Member of the OIQ or eligible for membership. Experience in hydroelectric, industrial, or energy sectors (major asset). Knowledge of heavy mechanical equipment: turbines, hydraulic systems, bearings, pumps, and welded structures. Proficiency in design and analysis software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, mechanical calculation software). Ability to work in power plants, on-site, or in remote environments. Skills in problem-solving, technical communication, and project management.

Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems for hydroelectric plants, including turbines, gates, penstocks, hydraulic systems, and lifting mechanisms.
Assist in projects focused on rehabilitation, modernization, and upgrading of mechanical equipment.
Conduct technical diagnostics, failure analyses, and provide engineering recommendations.
Oversee on-site activities: inspections, mechanical testing, commissioning, and project monitoring.
Collaborate with electrical, civil, automation, and operations teams.
Generate plans, specifications, technical reports, and engineering documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the reliability and performance of installations.
