Opportunity Overview
Each project presents unique tasks; contributors may:
- Design innovative computational engineering problems that replicate real-world engineering workflows;
- Develop problems that necessitate Python programming for solving engineering computations and simulations;
- Ensure that problems are computationally demanding, requiring numerical methods or iterative solutions;
- Create scenarios involving system design, optimization, and analysis;
- Base challenges on genuine research issues or practical applications derived from engineering practice;
- Validate solutions using Python with standard engineering libraries;
- Clearly document problem statements and provide verified correct solutions.
Desired Qualifications
This role is an excellent match for engineers experienced in Python who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation. Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or any programming language may also be acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching experience;
- An understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
- Strong written English skills (C1+ level);
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are advantageous.

Project Time Commitment
For this role, tasks are expected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, depending on project needs. This is an estimated workload applicable only during project activity.
Compensation
Contributors can earn up to $50 per hour, depending on their expertise and contribution pace. Compensation may vary across projects based on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Please note that other projects on our platform may offer varying earning levels according to their demands.
