ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, collaborating under the guidance of a licensed engineer. Your projects will span across various sectors including educational institutions, healthcare, corporate commercial spaces, and cutting-edge science and technology facilities.
 
 
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Work under the supervision of a professional engineer to create straightforward designs for ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment selection for HVAC systems. Support plumbing and fire protection designs as needed.
  • Assist in preparing building load calculations using modeling software with guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of energy models utilizing appropriate software while ensuring correct parameters under supervision.
  • Participate in Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings for HVAC systems from schematic design to construction administration phases, while also performing modeling for plumbing and fire protection systems as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the design team on specifications and documentation.
  • Draft reports for review by senior engineers.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings for adherence to contract documents.
  • Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress, which may involve physical site walkthroughs.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering is required by the hire date, with a preference for degrees from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Solid understanding and application of advanced heat transfer, solar energy, and fluid dynamics principles in HVAC design.
