- Conduct quality assurance activities in alignment with the established quality management system.
- Develop and maintain inspection and testing plans along with record forms based on project specifications and international standards.
- Execute inspections within the mechanical discipline to ensure compliance with quality requirements, documenting results as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inspection statuses using effective tools such as inspection matrices.
Oversee and conduct inspections for the mechanical discipline.
Issue Requests for Inspection (RFI) to clients, ensuring adequate notice for hold, witness, and inspection points.
Prepare and review quality documentation submitted by subcontractors, including Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Material Approval Requests (MAR).
Review, approve, and manage inspection reports, ensuring accurate recording of inspection outcomes.
Utilize systematic tools for controlling inspection statuses, including managing the inspection matrix.
Set and implement practical inspection processes specific to project requirements and international codes.
Ensure timely closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist in the preparation of Corrective Action Plans.
Coordinate inspections with clients effectively.
Assume responsibilities of QC Supervisor during their absence.
Address quality violations through regular toolbox talks with construction teams.
Review and track material submissions related to Mechanical Definable Features of Work before preparatory meetings.
Conduct preparatory meetings with subcontractors concerning Mechanical Definable Features of Work.
Inspect incoming materials to confirm specifications and compliance with approved submittals, conducting visual and measurement tests in collaboration with the onsite logistics team.
Reject and manage the return of non-compliant materials.
Apply lessons learned and implement appropriate preventive actions.
Monitor and inspect specific mechanical activities, including the site erection of static and rotating equipment.
Ensure critical activities such as flange parallelism, final alignment, and final inspections of rotating equipment are conducted per contract specifications and requirements.
