This is a full-time role requiring 30 to 40 hours per week.
Compensation: $5 per hour.
As a Medical Virtual Assistant, you will be crucial in offering outstanding administrative support to healthcare professionals in a fully remote environment. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare, possessing excellent communication skills, and knowledgeable about the Simple Practice EMR system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage your expertise with the Simple Practice EMR system to effectively manage and maintain patient records.
- Keep patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans up-to-date.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly addressing patient inquiries via phone, email, or chat.
- Clearly articulate our services to new patients, ensuring they understand our systems and what to expect.
- Assist healthcare professionals with scheduling appointments and managing calendars for follow-up care.
- Collaborate with billing teams to ensure accurate coding and billing details.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations regarding sensitive medical information.
- Work cohesively with the team to promote effective communication and coordination.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or in a related role is highly preferred.
- Proficient in using the Simple Practice EMR system.
- Strong grasp of medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of simplifying complex medical concepts for patients.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a remote team.
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding is an asset.
