With a vast team and a multi-billion-dollar budget, the agency oversees numerous facilities to cater to the diverse requirements of New Yorkers facing homelessness.The Division of Shelter Intake is charged with managing daily operations at the agency's intake and assessment sites for Single Adults, Adult Families, and Families with Children, including both directly operated and contracted providers. This Division ensures that the City's most vulnerable populations can access shelter, adhering to eligibility criteria, 24/7, all year round.We are seeking to recruit six (6) Administrative Directors of Social Services, Level M-I, to serve as PATH Managers within the Shelter Intake Division's PATH diversion program.As an Administrative Director of Social Services, Level I (M1), you will oversee a large staff team that reviews applications from clients seeking access to City-run shelters and other housing managed by DHS. You will also manage client flow and the referral process, including pre-screening, registration of applicants' interviews, and the investigation process. Additional responsibilities will include:Monitoring referrals to HRA Diversion and NoVA Units, Medical Providers, Prevention Services Homebase, ACS, and DOE.Overseeing the placement process with the Agency’s HERO Unit to ensure appropriate shelter assignments.Planning and directing thorough investigations and assessments of possible fraudulent practices.Maintaining records and preparing reports for the Director of the PATH Unit.Providing direct supervision for social services, facilities management, transportation, medical services, food services, and security during assigned shifts.
