Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electromechanics. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a MEP Tender Engineer, preferably in HVAC. Excellent communication skills; fluency in French, Dutch, and English is ideal. A proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong project management capabilities, demonstrating ownership of responsibilities. Flexibility and ability to meet deadlines. Innovative thinking in problem-solving and keeping abreast of technical advancements. Proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement. A passion for the role, with a willingness to work in the Brussels region (teleworking options available).

Are you an innovative MEP Tender Engineer looking for an exciting challenge? Join our dynamic team at BESIX, where you will play a pivotal role in our Estimating department at our headquarters in Woluwé-Saint-Lambert. While our projects span the globe, our primary focus is in Belgium.

Your Role

  • As a MEP Tender Engineer, you will engage in the comprehensive study and coordination of all elements pertaining to MEP installations.
  • You will maintain oversight of all MEP-related issues throughout project studies and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Your task includes analyzing contractual obligations for MEP installations set by clients and formulating an actionable plan.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting thorough analyses of specifications, drawings, and other documents within tender dossiers.
  • Requesting and evaluating price quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to create an estimate based on the selected execution method and equipment.
  • Preparing comparative tables and participating in internal meetings to finalize estimates.
  • Establishing internal pricing using available databases and supplier offers.
  • Assessing offers from subcontractors and identifying potential value engineering opportunities.
  • Ensuring seamless coordination between MEP trades and other works under the General Contractor's purview.
  • Evaluating project risks and opportunities to determine optimal execution strategies.
  • Coordinating with MEP subcontractors, the client, design offices, and other external parties.
  • Participating in meetings with subcontractors and/or clients/design offices as necessary.
  • Preparing final tender documents for submission.
