Qualifications

Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electromechanics. Bring at least 5 years of pertinent experience as a MEP Tender Engineer, with a preference for HVAC expertise. Exhibit strong communication skills, ideally fluent in French, Dutch, and English. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Show independence in managing projects, taking ownership of your responsibilities. Be flexible and capable of meeting tight deadlines. Display creativity in developing alternative solutions, keeping abreast of technical advancements and innovations. Be proactive and committed to continuous improvement. Be motivated and passionate about your work, with the willingness to operate within the Brussels region (teleworking options available).

Work Environment

Join our Estimating department at our headquarters in Woluwé-Saint-Lambert. While our primary operations are based in Belgium, our projects span across the globe.

Your Role

  • As a MEP Tender Engineer, you will engage in the study and coordination of all elements related to MEP installations.
  • Throughout project analysis, you will maintain comprehensive oversight of MEP installation issues and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assess the contractual obligations for MEP installations as outlined by the client and devise an actionable plan accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of specifications, drawings, diagrams, and all relevant documents within the tender dossier.
  • Solicit and evaluate price quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to create an estimate aligned with the selected execution method and equipment.
  • Prepare comparative tables and contribute to internal finalization discussions.
  • Determine internal pricing using available databases and supplier quotes.
  • Analyze received offers from subcontractors.
  • Compile lists of potential value engineering opportunities and alternatives for associated trades.
  • Facilitate coordination between MEP trades and other disciplines managed by the General Contractor.
  • Assess and evaluate project risks and opportunities to identify the best execution strategies.
  • Coordinate between MEP subcontractors, clients, design offices, and other external parties.
  • Attend meetings with subcontractors and/or clients/design offices as needed.
  • Prepare final tender documents for submission.
