Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and talented Metal Technician Apprentice to join our expanding team. In this role, you will leverage your skills in buffing, stripping, sanding, masking, filling, spraying, oxidizing, and finishing to rejuvenate surfaces to their optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to work order instructions and follow the Lead Foreman's directives to ensure high-quality job completion within specified timelines.
Utilize solvents, chemicals, pneumatic and power tools effectively.
Comply with all safety protocols and OSHA regulations, including proper use of company vehicles.
Successfully complete all required safety and training modules.
Availability to work night shifts (generally from 4/5 PM to 2/3 AM), with flexibility for occasional day or weekend shifts.
Occasional out-of-town travel (in company vehicle, with daily per diem and hotel accommodations provided).
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or G. E. D. preferred.
Possession of a current and valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Ability to kneel, squat, bend, lift, reach, climb, and carry equipment up to 60 lbs unassisted.
Experience in painting or spraying is a plus.
High attention to detail and cleanliness.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting pay of $20 per hour for the first 30 days of training.
Eligibility for a bonus pay plan after successfully passing apprentice training assessments.
