Role Overview
As a successful BI Developer, you will gain valuable experience across diverse technologies and data. Your primary responsibilities will include developing intricate data models and crafting compelling visualization and reporting dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Alteryx and other data preparation tools to author workflows and build robust data models that support complex visualizations and analytics.
- Demonstrate expertise in Tableau and/or Power BI to create meaningful visual representations for reporting and management dashboards. You should be adept at distinguishing between report and dashboard design, applying best practices, and creating custom visuals that drive decision-making.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of data management principles, relational database concepts, data cleansing techniques, dimensional modeling, and measure/metric calculations.
- Employ scripting languages such as VBA, JavaScript, or Python to operationalize processes as needed.
- Engage in requirements gathering and stakeholder management, showcasing an eye for commercial opportunities, excellent communication, and organizational skills. Maintain a tenacious appetite for learning and applying new technologies.
- Collaborate effectively in teams, both in-person and virtually, while also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your work.
