The Role...
We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Architect to join our dynamic team at Soho House. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the architectural design process, contributing to various projects from initial concept through to specification and construction documentation. Reporting directly to the Senior or Principal Architect, you will collaborate closely with our architectural design team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of Soho House design processes and operational standards are essential for this role.
Main Duties...
- Adhere to Soho House Design phases requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the project team to follow efficient design processes.
- Meet project deadlines on specific assignments.
- Participate in the development of the design to ensure the integrity of the agreed-upon design is upheld.
- Work with the Senior/Principal Architect to obtain necessary approvals for designs.
- Develop project schedules, design drawings, and specifications as needed.
- Produce project-specific weekly reports.
- Maintain effective communication with the entire project team.
Requirements...
- Master’s degree in architecture is required; a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit is required, along with strong skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites.
- Knowledge of OSHA and Department of Health compliance related to building design is necessary.
- Familiarity with local and state construction-related regulations, bid processes, and legal contracts is required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting strict deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills are essential.
