Role overview
The Mid-Level Business Analyst (20646) at Encora joins an agile technology team focused on building digital solutions that support business goals. This position plays a key role in bridging business needs and technical delivery, helping clients achieve results through thoughtful product development.
What you will do
- Gather, analyze, and document both functional and non-functional requirements to ensure clear understanding between business and technology teams.
- Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Developers to define solutions that match user needs.
- Map current business processes, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to workflow optimization.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, support backlog management, define acceptance criteria, and help monitor project initiatives.
- Organize squad data, estimate impacts of new features, and measure results after launch.
- Assist with discovery activities to inform product direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in agile environments.
- Experience in the banking or financial sector is highly desirable.
- Comfort with collaborative tools such as Confluence, Jira, Miro, or Figma.
- Understanding of accounting reconciliations and difference controls.
- Background in incident management and handling loss events.
- Experience analyzing operational breaks and coordinating with Legal, Claims, Operations, and Digital teams.
- Knowledge of banking systems and platforms.
- Ability to analyze data using Excel, with basic SQL skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and a focus on achieving results.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities when working with both technical and business stakeholders.
