Join Our Team as a Reading Interventionist!
At Veritas Prep, we are dedicated to empowering students through effective reading interventions. As a Reading Interventionist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing literacy skills for students requiring additional support.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Implement targeted tier 2 and 3 reading interventions in small group settings as identified by the Principal.
- Design and execute school-wide interventions by developing tailored lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students through push-in or pull-out instruction.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and age-appropriate reading materials to boost student performance and achievement.
- Participate in the screening and evaluation processes for students.
- Track and communicate progress in reading interventions bi-weekly to the school leadership team.
- Collaborate with educators by sharing relevant data to drive instructional improvements.
- Engage in Content Team and Data Meetings to discuss student progress.
- Lead professional development sessions aimed at enhancing classroom literacy support.
- Deliver high-quality instructional time that helps students achieve grade-level proficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by school administrators.
- Work alongside the school librarian to promote independent reading and fluency across the school.
At Veritas Prep, we believe that foundational reading skills are essential for students to succeed academically. Our approach focuses on explicitly teaching these skills to middle school students, including direct phonics and fluency instruction.
