Join Kia of Mankato as a Military Veteran Mechanic and embark on a fulfilling career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. This opportunity is designed specifically for skilled and experienced military veterans through the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), aimed at helping veterans transition into civilian careers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Expertly diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Accurately complete repair and warranty orders following established Kia and retailer policies and procedures.
- Conduct test drives and utilize Kia diagnostic strategies, specialized equipment, and tools for comprehensive analysis and repairs.
- Deliver timely services and repairs while maintaining effective communication with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Employment decisions are made at the discretion of the specific retailer, subject to meeting qualifications and eligibility requirements for VTAP.
Requirements:
- Honorable discharge from military service.
- Valid driver’s license from any state with a clean driving record.
- Technical or mechanical experience is essential.
- Willingness to undergo and pass drug screening and background checks.
