Position Overview:

We are excited to invite applications for a permanent, full-time position as a Tool and Mold Maker for our 3rd Shift (10 PM - 6 AM) at our Arlington, TX facility. Join a high-performing team and be a vital part of our innovative production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate various machinery including lathes, milling machines, electrical discharge machines, and grinders.
  • Perform tool assembly and disassembly.
  • Conduct mold repairs and maintenance, including processing Red Tag work orders.
  • Provide instruction to fellow toolmakers and apprentices on equipment operation and setup.
  • Execute welding tasks including TIG and MIG, as well as micro-welding.
  • Construct injection molds ranging from basic to highly complex designs.
  • Implement engineering changes and revisions to existing molds.
  • Repair injection mold cavities and cores affected by wear or damage.
  • Build necessary fixtures and gauges.
  • Take on Project Leader responsibilities for new mold projects or significant revisions, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Work collaboratively with an apprentice or another toolmaker to assist with setups and machining methods.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Extensive knowledge of molding and injection mold repair, with the capability to diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical issues.
  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in mold making, repair, and maintenance.
  • Proficient experience with stoning and polishing mold components.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or sit for 8-12 hours daily and lift up to 40 lbs occasionally, with regular lifting of up to 15 lbs. Must be capable of performing overhead work as well as tasks below the waist.
