Demonstrated expertise in controlling Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) and inverters, along with hands-on experience in motor control algorithms, including Field-Oriented Control (FOC) and Direct Torque Control (DTC). Practical experience in testing motor drive systems, with familiarity in utilizing equipment like dynamometers, power supplies, and power meters. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, encompassing model-based design, Stateflow, and automation script development. Knowledge of embedded controllers and programming languages such as C and Python. Acquainted with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN) and tools like Vector CANalyzer and CANape. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration practices.

We are seeking a talented Motor Controls Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in the development of advanced motor control systems for our electric vehicles.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sophisticated motor control algorithms, as well as support various control development initiatives.

  • Create and uphold simulation models to validate and study control systems.

  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting in both laboratory settings and real-world vehicle applications.

  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to define requirements, develop solutions, and validate performance.

  • Identify, document, and track software bugs, utilizing log analysis to resolve issues efficiently.

Salary: The salary for this position is competitive, ranging from $220,000 to $245,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
