A Master’s degree in Health or Environmental Sciences, Biology, Social Sciences, or a related field.8-10 years of experience in the H&S sector, including at least 3 years in Internationally Funded Projects within emerging markets (World Bank/IFC, EBRD, ADB) or comparable experience. Demonstrated experience as a consultant and/or in client or lender roles.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Directing the provision of H&S support for both construction and operational phases of projects and assets, optimizing the balance between in-house expertise and external service providers for cost-effectiveness and flexibility.
Championing Masdar’s achievements, capabilities, strategic vision, and roadmap regarding H&S to stakeholders and financial partners.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with external consultants and stakeholders to facilitate effective knowledge transfer and ensure service completion within agreed parameters.
Curating and updating a list of reputable H&S consultants for conducting H&S studies throughout project development.
Formulating and executing a corporate procedure for the engagement of H&S consultants in a compliant and cost-effective manner, while overseeing existing arrangements to guarantee adherence to agreements.
Leading the commissioning and supervision of various H&S studies, including Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), stakeholder engagement, community development plans, and Environmental and Social (E&S) monitoring.
•Engaging in contract negotiations (e.g., EPC, O&M, PPA) to ensure that H&S standards and requirements are integrated into relevant contracts from key project stakeholders.
