This on-site Occupational Health Nurse position at Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) in Jacksonville, Florida centers on supporting employee health and safety in a manufacturing setting. The nurse manages individual health cases, coordinates care for employees returning to work after illness or injury, and collaborates with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Human Resources (HR), Workers' Compensation, and site leadership. Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and attention to documentation are essential. Experience in occupational health within manufacturing or field operations is required.
What you will do
- Deliver first aid and triage for workplace injuries or illnesses.
- Coordinate care, schedule follow-up appointments, manage work restrictions, and oversee return-to-work processes alongside employees, HR, and occupational health providers.
- Assist EHS in determining whether injuries or illnesses are work-related.
- Oversee medical monitoring for noise exposure and respiratory protection, including audiometric testing and reviewing respirator medical questionnaires.
- Conduct fit-for-duty and ergonomic assessments.
- Develop and coordinate wellness programs and health education campaigns in partnership with HR.
- Follow established occupational health policies and programs.
