Essential FunctionsDirect daily production activities in the assigned work center to surpass safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency objectives. Oversee, mentor, and assess Team Leads and Operators, promoting a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration. Ensure compliance with daily build schedules and takt times; communicate potential risks to the Operations Manager. Monitor and evaluate performance metrics (output, defects, rework, attendance, downtime) and lead daily management meetings. Coordinate with Planning, Materials, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure the work center is prepared with necessary materials, tools, and documentation. Implement safety protocols, 5S practices, standard work, and adherence to operational policies. Assist in onboarding, cross-training, and skill development of team members in conjunction with Learning & Development. Lead or assist in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action initiatives for issues affecting quality, delivery, or safety.

Job Summary

The Operations Supervisor serves as a first-line leader responsible for managing daily operations within a designated production area (Framing, Assembly, Integration, Test, or Fabrication). This position ensures that all teams adhere to safety protocols, meet takt time and scheduling objectives, and produce high-quality output aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs). The role oversees multiple Team Leads and Operators while collaborating closely with the Operations Manager to identify challenges, foster continuous improvement, and maintain operational flow.

Important Note: This position requires 100% in-office presence at our Jacksonville locations and does not accommodate remote work.

Second shift hours are from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM EST.

Responsibilities include overseeing production processes to guarantee compliance with quality benchmarks, conducting inspections of equipment and components throughout the production cycle, and upholding ISO 9001 documentation along with regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Establish inspection criteria and procedural guidelines.Maintain comprehensive electronic records of inspection documentation and certifications for equipment and components.Investigate and resolve customer quality-related issues and complaints.Develop statistical tracking for quality control issues and implement process enhancements.Provide technical guidance to production teams.Collaborate with plant management to align production objectives and enhance product reliability.Conduct final inspections of products and equipment upon arrival and departure from the facility.Oversee inspection activities throughout the production process.Ensure proper marking and application of regulatory labels as necessary.Perform additional tasks as directed by supervision.Note: This job description is not exhaustive.
