Oracle Database Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our esteemed financial services partner in Hungary. This position is essential in managing high-availability systems that serve millions of clients, thus playing a critical role in our infrastructure.

Seniority Level: Medior–Senior (3–5 years of relevant experience required)
Work Location: Budapest
Work Schedule: Hybrid (several days in the office each week)
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time

Key Responsibilities

Administration and monitoring of Oracle database environments
Handling production incidents and troubleshooting
Performance monitoring and optimization
Managing backup and recovery processes (RMAN)
Executing patch management and version upgrades
Participating in change management processes
Creating and maintaining documentation
Collaborating with application operations and infrastructure teams
Participating in on-call support rotations

Qualifications

Required Skills

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Oracle database administration (enterprise environment)
Deep knowledge of Oracle Database versions 11g / 12c / 19c
Experience with RMAN backup and recovery
Proficient in SQL
Familiarity with Linux / Unix operating systems
Experience with performance tuning
Ability to work independently in a production environment
Incident management experience
