Position SummaryAs a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and testing of electrical components, equipment, and systems to meet the demands of both military and commercial applications. Key Responsibilities• Analyze operational, test, and research data to establish Acceptance Test Standards for newly designed or modified equipment.• Oversee the preparation of product and system layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings.• Design electrical equipment utilizing digital, analog, and microprocessor-based electronic components.• Create schematics, wire run lists, and demonstrate familiarity with various electronic and electrical components, including mounting methods and heat sinking on printed circuit boards.• Coordinate and perform operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment as required.• Collaborate with manufacturing teams in the prototype development process.• Execute additional duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.• Ensure adherence to Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and report any discrepancies to the relevant manager or supervisor. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesN/A AS9100/ISO Specific Duties• Familiarize yourself with Atec's Quality Policy and company objectives.• Understand and implement AS9100/ISO specific procedures and work instructions.• Maintain all records as required by procedures and work instructions.• Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) initiatives as appropriate.• Engage in AS9100/ISO training as required and cooperate with auditors.• Report any deviations to the appropriate area manager or supervisor. Qualifications• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college.• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a related field, or 10 or more years of engineering experience in a related field. Certifications• IEEE Membership is preferred. Physical Demands• The employee must frequently stand, walk, sit, and utilize hands to work with electrical equipment. Work Environment• The employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, with a moderate noise level in the work environment. Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
