As a Personnel Assistant I at Crossroads Talent Solutions, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining personnel data files while processing a variety of personnel transactions. Your responsibilities will include handling employment applications, verification requests, onboarding new hires, managing terminations, overseeing leaves of absence, and processing salary adjustments. You will ensure the completeness of forms and documents, input necessary information into our computerized systems, and engage in effective communication with staff, employees, and applicants to verify information, address inquiries, and resolve issues. Proficiency in using typewriters, computer terminals, and various office equipment is essential to fulfill these duties. Duties and Responsibilities: Follow directives from senior supervisors.Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.Review transaction documents to ensure accuracy and completeness, inputting data into our systems efficiently.Update personnel files with new information and process requests for changes.Maintain and retrieve data from personnel files as needed.Conduct fingerprinting for new employees.Keep accurate logs and records related to personnel processes such as orientation, training, performance evaluations, and turnover.Compile and maintain statistics regarding personnel transactions.Verify employment history, job titles, and salary information.Follow up with employees and staff to ensure timely submission of required forms.Handle phone inquiries from applicants, employees, and administrators regarding personnel transactions, explaining procedures and resolving discrepancies.Research files to retrieve necessary information.Perform related tasks to support departmental operations.
