The successful candidate will focus on fortifying supplier quality systems, optimizing manufacturing processes, and effectively managing risk utilizing structured methodologies such as DFMEA and PFMEA.This role represents a fantastic opportunity for engineers at various stages of their careers, from early to mid-level or senior engineers (1–5+ years of experience), who possess a robust foundation in quality engineering and supplier collaboration within regulated manufacturing sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with suppliers to enhance quality, delivery, and manufacturing performanceAssist in supplier qualification, development, and ongoing performance managementConduct on-site supplier assessments and audits as necessaryLead and support risk analysis activities using DFMEA and PFMEA methodologiesImplement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) resulting from supplier quality issuesPerform root cause analysis utilizing structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)Review technical drawings, specifications, and process documentation to ensure complianceAssist with First Article Inspections (FAI) and production readiness reviewsWork closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to mitigate supply chain risksRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)1–5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing EngineeringFamiliarity with DFMEA and PFMEA methodologiesExperience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, or similar)Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T knowledge preferred)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional communication and supplier-facing abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience in Aerospace or Defense manufacturingFamiliarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 standardsExperience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologiesExperience working with machining, electronics, composites, or precision manufacturing suppliersReadiness to travel to supplier sites as required
