Join Our Team as a Medical Assistant! Chesapeake Specialty Care is seeking a dedicated and motivated Medical Assistant to become a vital part of our team. This full-time position offers the opportunity for professional growth and development in a supportive environment. The role requires flexibility to work across multiple office locations, including Owings Mills, Rosedale, Westminster, and Columbia, with travel between sites required. Your work schedule will vary from Monday to Friday, during business hours from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, comprising of 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Enjoy your weekends off! Key Responsibilities: Welcome and interview patients to gather crucial information.Measure and record vital signs accurately.Perform clinical tasks under the direction of medical staff.Assist with various medical procedures.Process prescription orders through our electronic health records (EHR) system.Coordinate with insurance companies for necessary pre-authorizations.Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls and taking messages.Support the organization of patient charts and filing of documents as required.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Experience in a medical office setting is preferred.Familiarity with pre-authorization processes for medical procedures.Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.Capable of thriving in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Willingness to travel between multiple office locations (Owings Mills, Rosedale, and/or Columbia).
