What We Are Looking For:GPhC registered pharmacist with Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification. A minimum of 2 years of prescribing experience. Experience in a clinical environment. Desirable knowledge of cannabis-based medicines (CBPM), with a willingness to undergo specialized training if necessary. Strong communication skills, able to convey information clearly in both clinical and non-clinical settings. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize competing demands. Proactive and resourceful in identifying and resolving issues.

Join our dynamic team at Montu UK as a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) in our London office, located in Kings Cross. This part-time position requires you to work 2-3 days, including evenings and weekends. You will be crucial in prescribing and evaluating cannabis-based medicines for patients with complex health conditions.

On-site Work Required: This role involves working directly on-site during evenings and weekends.

As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will balance your time between on-site responsibilities and remote work, ensuring safe, effective, and personalized treatment for a diverse patient population.

Collaboration is key. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care and participate in the development of clinical protocols. Additionally, you will engage in patient and staff education, actively contributing to improved treatment outcomes in this rapidly evolving field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough clinical checks and reviews of cannabis-based medicine prescriptions for safety and accuracy.
  • Prescribe medications as an Independent Prescriber, customizing treatments to align with individual patient needs.
  • Offer expert advice to patients and other prescribers regarding available treatment options.
  • Maintain precise patient records in compliance with GPhC standards.
  • Assist the dispensary team by addressing complex clinical inquiries.
  • Deliver educational sessions on cannabis-based medicines to patients, clinicians, and staff.
  • Collaborate with the broader team to enhance processes and improve patient outcomes.
