Join our dynamic team at big-potato as a Part-time HR Business Partner, where you will play a pivotal role in aligning our people strategy with business objectives. This position, requiring your expertise three days a week, integrates strategic HR partnering with operational excellence, enabling our leaders to thrive while you enhance and manage our core HR systems, including HiBob and Workable.
Your contributions will be essential in steering our employee relations strategy, overseeing end-to-end ER matters, and ensuring our HR processes and policies are efficient, cohesive, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate with senior leaders to implement a people strategy that supports our business goals.
- Utilize data-driven insights to influence key decisions and drive performance improvements.
- Facilitate change initiatives and support organizational development efforts.
Employee Relations (ER)
- Manage ER cases such as grievances, disciplinary actions, performance issues, and absenteeism.
- Provide practical, risk-aware guidance that balances legal requirements with business objectives.
- Empower and train managers to effectively manage ER situations.
- Analyze trends to proactively mitigate ER risks.
HR Operations & Process Improvement
- Enhance consistency and efficiency in HR processes and policies across the organization.
- Regularly assess and refine operational practices to support our growth.
- Ensure adherence to employment laws and best practices.
- Update the leadership team on changes in legislation and policies.
- Champion our Start Well, Stay Well, Leave Well philosophy.
- Take responsibility for HR administration, including contract amendments and employee records.
HR Systems Ownership (HiBob & Workable)
- Serve as a superuser and subject matter expert for HRIS HiBob and ATS Workable.
- Manage system configuration, optimization, and ongoing enhancements.
- Ensure data accuracy, reporting integrity, and robust system utilization across the organization.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide valuable business insights.
- Lead system enhancements, integrations, and the automation of HR processes.
- Provide training and ongoing support to managers and employees on system functionalities.
- Maintain accurate employee data in HiBob, ensuring integrity and compliance.
- Oversee HR workflows such as onboarding, changes, and offboarding within the systems.
Recruitment & Talent Support
- Assist hiring managers with workforce planning and recruitment strategies.
- Ensure effective utilization of Workable to create a strong, consistent hiring process.
- Enhance the candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment cycle.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support B Corp initiatives by aligning our people policies with social and environmental impact standards.
