Key Responsibilities of the Part-Time Instructor:
- Deliver Engaging Curriculum: Utilize our specialized curriculum tailored for advanced learners to guide small group classes in language arts.
- Student Engagement: Facilitate student involvement to promote a collaborative learning environment.
- Classroom Management: Effectively manage a classroom of up to 16 students.
- Assessment and Feedback: Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Build Meaningful Relationships: Connect with students and their families to enrich their educational experiences.
- Inspire Critical Thinking: Encourage students to develop a passion for language arts and critical analysis.
Qualifications for the Ideal Candidate:
- A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- A degree in education or a humanities discipline is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge base in reading, writing, and grammar.
- Prior experience in teaching or tutoring students.
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is advantageous.
Note: A formal teaching credential is not required for this role.
Schedule Information (Academic Year):
- Classes are held in the evenings and on weekends, and candidates must be available to teach after school (starting as early as 4 PM) and/or on weekends.
- The minimum commitment is approximately 3 hours per week for each assigned class.
- Each course session lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes.
