About the Position
Join the COC Consulting team as a dedicated part-time Phlebotomist in the Auburn, WA area. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the accurate collection, processing, labeling, storage, and dispatch of blood and urine samples to our laboratories for testing.
- Execute patient blood and/or urine specimen collections following established protocols.
- Prepare specimens for analytical testing, ensuring their integrity and quality.
- Verify requisitions for urine and blood tests.
- Confirm patient identity prior to specimen collection.
- Label and document specimens accurately for shipping.
- Maintain daily records of collections performed.
- Monitor and request necessary laboratory and office supplies.
- Provide site-specific procedural training to new employees.
- Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to all standards and regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
- Travel to additional sites as required.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
