Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Line Management & DevelopmentOversee the direct management of Delivery Centre colleagues, ensuring accountability for performance, wellbeing, and development. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings emphasizing feedback, growth, engagement, and support. Establish clear, measurable objectives and consistently review progress. Assist colleagues in recognizing their strengths, development areas, and career aspirations. Collaborate with Engagement Leads and Capability Champions to align on project delivery, technical capabilities, and people-focused objectives. Early Careers & Growth FocusTake an active interest in developing early-career and mid-level professionals within the Delivery Centre. Promote a coaching-oriented approach to performance and career advancement. Identify development opportunities, stretch assignments, and learning pathways in collaboration with the wider People Team. Contribute practical insights during talent discussions and capability development initiatives. Onboarding & Colleague ExperienceFacilitate onboarding processes for colleagues in Manchester and London, ensuring a structured and welcoming experience. Clarify expectations, working methods, and the practical application of the matrix model. Conduct organized check-ins during the initial months of employment to reinforce engagement and alignment with performance expectations. Performance & People OperationsManage probation evaluations, performance discussions, and absence protocols in accordance with internal policies and UK employment laws. Apply Advisory, Conciliation, and Arbitration Service (ACAS) principles appropriately in day-to-day people management. Escalate complex employee relations issues to senior People Management.

Operating within a matrix structure, the People Manager will serve as the direct supervisor for designated team members, collaborating closely with Engagement Leads (project delivery) and Capability Champions (technical and functional leadership) to ensure seamless and consistent leadership.
