Role overview
This Boston-based position combines clinical and administrative work. The role is also known internally as Lab Services Specialist or Member Support Specialist. It involves supporting both patients and staff in a primary care setting.
Key responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and assist with other clinical services as needed
- Welcome patients and serve as the first point of contact, creating a supportive environment
- Maintain the office lobby’s appearance to reflect the One Medical brand
- Support the Practice Coordinator, Operations Manager, and providers with a variety of administrative and clinical tasks
- Engage with patients using empathy and strong interpersonal skills to help remove barriers to care
- Use proper specimen collection techniques, prioritizing patient safety and comfort
- Identify and suggest customer-focused solutions during daily interactions
