Position Overview

At Gotham Enterprises, we are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become an integral part of our collaborative outpatient orthopedic clinic. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing patient recovery through personalized treatment plans under the guidance of licensed Physical Therapists. Our team prioritizes exceptional clinical outcomes, ethical caseload management, and a supportive, team-oriented environment that fosters both quality care and professional advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering skilled interventions as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist, adhering to the established plan of care.
  • Administer appropriate treatments including therapeutic exercise, functional training, neuromuscular re-education, and balance and gait training within your scope of practice.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the EMR, in line with clinic policies and payer regulations.
  • Report patient progress, clinical observations, and any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Guide patients in home exercises, movement strategies, and the safe use of equipment to promote functional independence.
  • Comply with New Jersey practice regulations, APTA ethical standards, and Medicare/private insurance documentation requirements.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical workspace.
  • Engage in team meetings and contribute to clinic initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
  • Possession of an active New Jersey PTA license (or eligibility pending).
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach.
  • A reliable, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to high standards of care.
