About the Position

We are actively looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become part of our esteemed outpatient orthopedic clinic. In this role, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient rehabilitation and recovery by providing skilled treatment under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Our clinic is committed to achieving exceptional clinical outcomes, maintaining ethical caseloads, and fostering a collaborative team environment that prioritizes quality care and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver physical therapy interventions as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist, adhering to the established care plan.
  • Implement effective treatments within the PTA's scope of practice, including therapeutic exercises, functional training, neuromuscular re-education, and balance and gait training, with a focus on orthopedic interventions.
  • Assess and monitor patient progress while effectively communicating clinical observations or any changes in patient status to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide patient education on home exercise programs, safe movement strategies, and proper equipment use as necessary.
  • Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and progress in the EMR, in compliance with clinic policies and payer requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to New Jersey practice regulations, APTA ethical standards, and Medicare/private insurance documentation guidelines.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
  • Engage in team meetings and clinic initiatives as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
